I rather like this work of public art. It's a shame the University doesn't as can clearly be seen by the way they stack their rubbish around it. Could hardly read the wall inscription. The work is entitled "Prometheus, The Gift Of Science To Liberty". By Jack Sloan, 1994

DILO Note: After a bit of shopping Alan dropped me on High Street and I walked back towards Cowcaddens. Not the best of weather but the rain was never heavy thankfully.

I'm quite pleased with this photograph despite the fact that tilting the camera down a little might have produced a better shot. Montrose Street to the east of Glasgow city centre. This is the site of the old maternity hospital at Rottenrow. To the left is the James Weir Building.
