Westbound R377 crosses Big Elk Creek as it approaches East Singerly on March 21st 1990.

#6044 is looking a little rough, still wearing it's original Chessie paint; The unit narrowly escaped damage 10 months earlier at Gaithersburg when the Brunswick helper ran into the side of the Millville rock runner. #6044 was the second unit, while the lead unit #6047 suffered damage so great that it was retired from the roster.
