Our first encouter with the Chewelah turn was at Springdale, but the sun wasn't quite up yet so we jumped ahead to this location east of Jump Off Rd where the train met with the sun. Today's consist was made up of A-B-B-B-B-A GP60s.

Another take on the Chewelah's passing of the Loon Lake sign. The relatively slow speeds on this subdivision make chasing the train easier...sorta!

The Chewelah passes Clayton Wa, a place that apparently has never seen a railfan. In the 10 minutes we stood here waiting for a train, not less than five different people came up to us...both on foot and by car...to ask us what the hell we were doing.

Just north of Deer Park, the railroad splits away from the main road, allowing for this across-the-way view of the train swinging into a curve.
