Amsterdam - Weesperstraat - Nieuwe Herengracht - Nieuwe Keizersgracht - Nationaal Holocaust Namenmonument
The Holocaust Names Monument is a memorial on Weesperstraat in Amsterdam, in the former Jewish neighbourhood. The design was created by Daniel Libeskind. It is the first national memorial in the Netherlands to include the names of all the victims of the Holocaust and the Porajmos. It was unveiled on 19 September 2021 by King Willem-Alexander and Jacques Grishaver, Chairman of the Dutch Auschwitz Committee.
The monument commemorates the more than 102,000 Dutch Jewish victims and 220 Sinti and Roma who perished during the Second World War and were not given an individual grave.
