This was taken at the "Palais Royale".........the shack the Royal family use when in Residence in Marrakech.
When I was walking around the grounds the Police and Army personnel, guarding the joint, were very sensitive to me talking pics so I sneaked a few off when they were shooting someone else.
You know how sometimes you have one go at something.......(watch it!!!)....it applies here.........went back on a couple of occasions but the sky was overcast when the guards were reloading their guns.
And yes i know they are trees or big weeds.........but we all have our crosses to bare........

Oh what a day yesterday.
Had a most fantastic meal........at a restaurant way up in the mountains.
It's called Es Verger............and you can find it on the climb up to the castle at Alaro.....Mallorca.
We had to climb about 5 kms up a single track path, winding up slopes populated by olive and almond trees, in the car.......even donkeys would have turned their noses up at the path.
It's the best place I've ever eaten shoulder of lamb, the meat just fell off the bone.......washed down with the house red that was so soft and mellow....it tasted of blackcurrents.....wonderful.
Finished off with toasted almonds and coffee..........fantastic.
There was even lettuce for any vegetarians who wandered in.
Thank god I wasn't driving...devine.
Oh the damn pic was taken in Marrakech.......Hat-tastic

"Captured" Marrakech 2007.

Taking pics of people in Marrakech is difficult.
Either they shy away from the camera or they want payment .
I decided to take some shots secretly.
Most of the shots of people on my trip were taken with the subject unaware of my presence......so i could capture them as they were not as they wanted to be.
Here I climbed aboard a tourist bus to snap people from above.....this girl became suddenly aware of me at the moment I took the pic....but was too late to hide away

Taken from the upstairs terrace of a Cafe/Restaurant in the busiest square in the whole of Africa (so it says here.........!!!!!!!) Jamaa El Fnaa.
This place is a hive of activity in the daytime when street vendors sell their wares, in the evening the place transforms itself into an open-air restaurant where you can eat lamb,drink mint tea and then watch a traditional storyteller relate tales of times past.
