!986 Idaho

I found myself in the summer of 86 in a rental car............heading towards Ketcham, Idaho.
My wife had given me time off to explore Nevada, Idaho and wherever.......so I took the time off to decieve her and visit the grave of Ernest Miller Hemingway.
I was having a love affair with his work.
As I saw it he not only tried to embrace the truth but he wrote about the damn thing too.
Whatever................none of that is important.
One of the most important things in our lives is that we need time and space to believe in something.
Hell it could be :
God
Coca cola
Veganism,
Yourself,
A fine wine from the Bourgoune,
Mein fucking Kampf,
or the Beatles first album.
In the end it doesn't matter..........we need something.
I needed Ernest Millar Hemingway.
So there I was standing at his graveside, wondering what the hell I do next!!!.
Then i thought, during the liberation of Paris in 1944, Hemingway, with a few cohorts liberated the Wine cellars of The Ritz..........now that was class........and if I dare say so....Perspective!!
I looked around.......no bars here just a couple of pine cones...........so I liberated them.
Eventually I took them back to Europe........for posterity.
On one of my many moves I lost them......with other items of my life I habilually lost.
It is no good hanging onto dreams.......
they whither and die just like we do.
I have decided during December to Post 2 Pics a day that have not been seen on Flickr for at least 5 years. That allows me to have an "Easy Month"......it also gives some of the "Older Stuff" a bit of an "airing"...…..Hope you like them.
At the moment...….there are some pics that are already accessible "for the public" posted here...…...but the majority are still marked "Private" and will be released when the time comes
