St. George's had an art show going on in the Cathedral but when we were walking by a man quickly came out told us that 'it is nice and warm in there and you can take photos of all the nice art and we have coffee and donughts' .... well we partook of the warmth, the great architecture enjoyed the art but declined on the coffee and donughts.

It was a terribly cold and windy day to do the World Wide Photowalk today compared to last year.
Of course my poor arthritis has been acting up on my knee so I thought I would not venture too far on the walk staying closer to the market and the immediate area within that catchment area of the market.
One of our "assignments" from Jonathan Sugerman our Leader was people or interaction of people. Something that causes me to cringe thinking I have to leave my comfort zone of "stuff" and "things".
It was there that I along with my bud Sharon B met Rita here. For me this was a big feat to be able to chit chat with a stranger (something that I don't mind doing as I love to yack) and then ask if I could take a photo of her. She obliged as so I must say "thank you Rita, I have had jumped over that first hurdle in asking a stranger to take her photo" making the next one a bit easier.
Stranger #1/100 for the 100 Strangers Group ...only 99 more to go :-)

I know, I cut his feet off - a BIG NO NO to some of those at the photoclub who would surely reject this for any competitive venue for just that reason and to so to you I quote Andreas Feininger "A technically perfect photograph can be the world’s most boring picture". i have arthritis in my knee so to bend or lay on the ground to take a photo would be impossible...i would still be laying on the grass in front of St George's this morning if I bent or laid down on the grass so when you want the shot that is different .... you improvise, put the camera on auto focus, put her on the grass and click the shutter :) I processed it Black and White because these old stone sculptured pieces, like headstones of yesteryear just look better in black and white to my way of thinking.
