Good morning from the inhabitants of the house in the ditch and all who live around it. Trying out the "new to me" full frame Canon EOS 1DS Mark III and my Canon 70-200 f4 on the camera with my friend here who does not mind to strike a pose for me.

My Canon 7D has a shutter issue so I figured I would purchase a "new to me" full frame. I decided on two of them, one is the Canon EOS 1DS Mark III here and the other is a Canon 5 Mark II. The 7D is "too old" and Canon can't repair they tell me so I found a "fix on line" for now to keep it going but as I want to keep taking photos and not wanting to go way over budget a new to me was the way to go.

It is different to get used to as I am used to my Canon 7D and where all the controls are but I have to admit I not read the manual in it's entirety yet though either.

This is the JPG image SOC with the Canon 70-200 f4 lens at f5 ISO 400, 1/125.

I decided to put the Scout on my "new to me" Canon EOS 1DS Mark III and put the Edge 80 optic in at f5.6. The little hummingbirds are very skittish so you can't get too close so I figured I would crop it later in Lightroom Classic.

We received out wood order of cut and split we are still waiting for one order that is all intact logs that GP and our son will be cutting up for the following winter. Right now this bush cord is all stacked so it can dry out for this upcoming winter season. I can sure feel the muscles in my body wishing we had a tub instead of just a shower here at Chez Plevna.

I wish we had more of these growing all over our property here. They are so pretty, coming in a variety of colours and of course they attract the butterflies and bees.
