Well, here I go once again after just completing a 365 in 2022 I am embarking on another 365.
I retired in March of 2021 after 47 years of combined public and military service and I made a promise to myself that my camera and I would become better friends. I live in North Frontenac Township here in Eastern Ontario Canada.
I shoot mainly Canon but have been known to pick up a film camera, an iPhone or even a "magic camera" as my grandson calls a Polaroid instant camera.

In keeping with the "theme" of introductions here, I am a big fan of three Canadian Photographers whose work is very much on the creative side - Freeman Patterson, Andre Gallant and Richard Martin.
I have had the pleasure of hearing both Freeman and Andre in the past at a photo Club workshop. Richard Martin had often presented at the Kingston Photo club as he is an honourary member. I also had the opportunity to take a weekend workshop with Richard along with a small group of my fellow photo friends in a small group and of course I know him personally. Each of these photographers think outside the box and their work inspires many including myself.

You will likely see this view quite often. It's the view from the bottom of our driveway looking south. Some days there are awesome sunrises, some days lush green vegetation, some days blue skies and flocks of geese. But, for now it's a blah day with rain in the forecast. At least we don't have to shovel it!

Our neighbour up the road feeds the turkeys on a daily basis. I think he told me that the largest flock he had was well over 40 at one time. I have often tried to get up near enough to capture them on my camera. Today, I went "stealth mode" whenever a car or truck drove on Road 506 so as not to be seen as these birds have very good eyesight. I managed to get quite a few shots of the birds today and was quite close to them from where their food is put out by Larry.
