We had to run into Sharbot Lake to get gas for the generator and I brought my camera. I saw swans in the small creek on Road 509 near Oso Road but we wanted to get the gas first so I hoped to catch them on the way back.

Unfortunately, were finished with their morning swim I guess and I caught them just as they flew over head. Note to self - when you see the photograph always stop.

I have taken several photos of my late mother-in-law over the years. This was from a few years back - Boxing Day 2010 to be exact. We (my sis-in-law and brother-in-laws) were trying to find photographs as the funeral home is doing a slide show of images of her for her celebration of life tomorrow. She will be missed.

I will thank you now for your visit and any comments you may leave as I likely won't have time to acknowledge them until things settle after my mother-in-laws celebration of life but just know they are read and appreciated.

Being in a rural community water is needed to flush a toilet when the power goes out. Luckily, we had some in reserve from the Derecho and with the power still not on while we went for gas for the generator we stopped at the local water hole to fill up jugs as we were not sure when power would be restored.
