What do you do when you've almost run out of books and it's all because of the unspeakable treachery of International Landscape Photographer of The Year Adam Gibbs?

I knew my book was hot but now it's literally on fire! When it comes to rivalry, we've both committed some pretty sketchy deeds over the years but this is going one step too far.

Thankfully, there's something to look forward to as I still manage to enjoy a wonderful morning of solitary sunrise photography in the most tranquil setting Canada has to offer.

One of the most important elements of landscape photography is to make sure you've got a plan B shot in your pocket. That level of adaptability comes from the joy of doing a recce - which should be fun.

In this episode, I have to ditch my expectations and work with what I've got. It's a bitter pill to swallow but not as bitter as the protein bar in my pocket...(gerrin touch).

For once I find a composition that works well with the Fujifilm GFX100s in 4x3 mode. Delightful 'S-curves', glowing cottonwood trees, and distant mountains. What more could I ask for?

Thanks for watching
