This was taken at 'Island in the Sky' in Canyonlands, Utah just before the mother of all downpours descended upon us.
We sheltered under an overhang just out of the shot while thunder and lightening exploded all around us. It was one of the best moments of my life.
I was so excited, I completely forgot that my polarizer was blocking the rainbow and couldn't understand why it wasn't showing up in my shot. With one turn of the filter I was back in business and got the shot.
