The train had been held at Hatton Station and having got the green light proceeded gently round the curve to Hatton North Junction, this was the point when the driver was facing the bank and was free to open out his locomotive. The train was 6X50, the 08.01 Westbury Down T.C. to Bescot up Engineers Sidings, according to my much more knowledgable companion this heavy train was booked to run via Coventry, we were lucky it was diverted at Leamington Spa, the point where is ceased to figure on RTT.
