I generally photograph birds in more natural settings, but that belies the fact that they exploit many habitats. I spotted this Great Blue Heron while I was poking around the docks in McClellanville, South Carolina. A few fishing boats had just arrived with the days catch, which attracted birds. You never know where you will find an interesting photo op.
