Rowan Williams (Archbishop of Canterbury 2003-2012; Archbishop of Wales 2000-2002) really is the most photogenic man. I was at a lecture he gave at Pusey House in Oxford on the theology of the mid-20th Century Anglican divine Eric Mascall – delivered without a note – and snapped the occasional shot of bushy-eyebrowed magnificence. This isn’t the first time I’ve photographed him. I also photographed him singing at a Christmas carol concert in Salisbury in 2016 (also on Flickr) and he has a genuinely fine bass-baritone voice as well. |
