Lit for compline on a midsummer evening blue hour, the chapel of St Stephen's House, a Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford and theological college training clergy for the Church of England.

The chapel was originally built for the monks of the Society of St John the Evangelist (the Cowley Fathers) who occupied the site until 1980. Names of their deceased brethren are etched on the walls.
