An amazing statue near Hyde Park, in Sydney, in Macquarie Street, Queen`s Square.
We were in Sydney for a long weekend, catching up with friends. While we were away, my Dad had a bad fall on the Friday. They said that all his vital signs were OK and that he didn't want to go to hospital. He texted me that he was OK and hospital wasn't necessary. I phoned him that evening, on the 5th, and he sounded reasonable. However, he was sent to hospital on the Monday, and passed away on Friday 10th May, early morning. Fortunately we were able to take an earlier flight home, and spent time with him, and he was able to say a few things. So sad to lose you, love you forever, Dad xxxxxxx
My Dad, Victor, was born in 1917, and may well have been named after Queen Victoria, as there were no previous relatives with that name. He had his 102nd Birthday in April this year.

South Head walk from Watson's Bay in Sydney, Australia.
A brilliant day, and in the morning we did this enjoyable walk, with very rewarding scenery.
We were not to know that, in the afternoon, we would have the bad news that my Dad had been sent to the hospital.
Very sad posting this now, as he passed away on Friday 10th May.

In The Rocks, Sydney, named after Sir Harry Rawson. Remodelled c1909, the original building was in 1800.
We were in Sydney for a long weekend to catch up with friends. This photo was taken in the morning before we caught an earlier flight home, as my Dad was very ill in hospital.
Dad's father and grandfathers were all Merchant Seamen.
At the hospital Dad was awake, quite alert, and able to eat.
Very sad posting this now, as he passed away on Friday 10th May.
