After shooting the ground fog at dawn (previous two images), I did a leisurely drive toward the nearby national park. The sun came up in a hazy sky, so it was brighter but still low in the sky and producing soft light when I saw this Pronghorn buck in a wheat field. I shot from the rolling red Toyota blind, and liked this one best.

One more to come from this outing. I have visitors this week - a rare event, as my location is very isolated - so I will grab free time for Flickr when I can. It's better to have too much to do than too little...

Later we watched another calmer, and friendly, encounter between these two Alaskan coastal brown bears enjoying the fresh grass in the meadow. Even if the one on the right looks like it has mischief on its mind.
