Young male lion on a dirt mound. This second-season lion cub is the only remaining cub from the 2010 litter, according to the Guides. We found this little guy relaxing on top of a 10-foot dirt mound. Curious and not intimidated, he posed for us as he played with the flies that were circling overhead. The lion cub had great reason to be relaxed; his lioness mother was napping in the bush behind him, and his massive father was on the next mound over. Masai Mara, Kenya.
