A video I shot using a fisheye lens of the SpaceX launch on 12-5. This video is best viewed using full screen and the larger the screen the better. The object was to catch the entire track of the rocket as it lifted off. It was taken from Canaveral National Seashore. I set it on a tripod and let it run. It has been sped up to 1.75 normal speed to meet Flickr's current time restrictions for video ( I'm glad they are promising longer video times in the future). You can see the light from the rocket as it rises above the beach and as it gains altitude it begins to leave a vapor trail. After the break in the video you can see the booster fire it's rocket initially about a third of the way from the top of the screen and if you look closely you can see it as it gets close to the water. The booster rocket had a hydraulics system failure which caused it to come down in the water just off the beach at a good distance from our location. The booster, however, will be recoverable. I'll be posting photos of the launch and the booster returning soon.
