The Red River National Wildlife Reserve in Bossier City, LA is a wonderful preserved area for bird watching. This is an Ox Bow lake off the Red River. After a short (1/2 mile) hike there is a nice viewing spot with a bench and a clear view of the lake. Great for Sunsets. The Reserve has a visitors center with a shop and meeting area. Recently the state Birding association had its meeting here.

Another shot at the Red River National Wildlife Reserve - the last one before I packed it up and headed to the car. Last Light of the day. I love how the water turned to Blue from red as the sky color changed.

Went scouting last night to find a place to shoot the Lunar eclipse. This is a lake in the Red River National Wildlife Refuge. It would have been perfect with the eclipse setting over the lake. However - "CLOUDS". We got cloudy and could not see the moon. Missed another one! One shot HDR in Photomatix.
