Taken at Barksdale 8th Air Force Museum.

The F84 had 2 versions the straight (Thunderjet) and swept wing design (shown here - Thunderstreak). It was operational from 1948 to 1957. It was the primary fighter and tactical jet during the Korean war.

The B47 Stratojet was the main Strategic Air Command (SAC) High altitude bomber carrying nuclear bombs capable of reaching Russia. It was in service from 1947 to 1965 being replaced by the B52. It then became a reconnaissance, intelligence and weather plane serving until the early 1970's. Interestingly its swept wing design was copied from captured German WW2 war plane documents/plans.
