Engine and wheel detail on the 385,000 pound Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive # 6755 located in the rail yard outside the Railroad Museum Of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The locomotive was built by the Altoona Works in 1930 as a 4-8-2 class M1a "Mountain" type steam locomotive and utilized primarily in freight runs with only occasional use on passenger trains. In 1953, the locomotive went back to the Altoona Works and was rebuilt into a class M1b. The locomotive continued to be used for freight service until January 1957 when it was retired from the roster.
