This is the end of what's left of the 59th Street Pier in Ocean City New Jersey. The pier has been slowly deteriorating since it was damaged in the early 1990s by a storm. Much of the other end of the pier remains in place but the end connecting the pier to the land is mostly gone now. There are two old postcards from 1949 that show what the pier looked like when it was still in one piece here:

Shot with my Nikon D7000 with the Nikon 28-70mm @ 28mm. Exposure was a single twenty second long exposure shot in manual exposure mode, F20, ISO 100 with a B&W 110, 10 stop neutral density filter. Black conversion done with NIK Silver FX pro. Camera mounted on a tripod in portrait mode and shutter triggered with infrared remote.
