The remains of the 59th Street Pier in Ocean City New Jersey extend out into the Atlantic Ocean. The pier has been slowly deteriorating since it was damaged in the early 1990s by a storm. Much of the other end of the pier remains in place but the end connecting the pier to the land is mostly gone now. Shot at 5:48 AM on 8-12-2012 with my Nikon D7000 with the Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 20mm. Exposure was a single fifteen second long exposure shot in manual exposure mode, F20, ISO 100 with a B&W 110, 10 stop neutral density filter. Black conversion done with NIK Silver FX pro. Camera mounted on a tripod and shutter triggered with infrared remote.
