Our cat, Shnuk reaches up onto the bay window to retrieve his toy mouse. It took him a few tries but he was rewarded with a very happy reunion with his toy.

Shot with my Canon G12 point and shoot in manual exposure mode, 1/125th shutter speed at F5.6, ISO 100. Lit with a YongNuo YN-560 flash mounted on the camera. Black and white conversion with onOne Software's PhotoTools version 5.5 "Wow B&W" preset.

A shot from the driveway of my Parent's house in Virginville looking out westward across the valley towards Hamburg with the old barn down in the valley.

Shot with my Canon G12 point and shoot in aperture priority mode, F8, ISO 100, spot metering with the spot positioned just above the horizon and the simulated neutral density function enabled in order to knock down the sun a bit. Adjustment layer done in Photoshop CS5 to lighten the barn up a little.

In 2013, I'm doing a 365 shot a day project with the theme "Toys. When you're not looking". The idea is to capture familiar toys dealing with the situations and challenges that life throws at them in the real world, just like a human would.

Shot with the Canon G12 in aperture priority mode, F8, ISO 250, lens zoomed to 24mm. Built in flash diffused with a torn off piece of napkin. Thanks to my one year old Niece, Ryder for the use of Ernest and to my Brother Chris for holding up his dark sweatshirt to form a backdrop while I shot the photo.

Shot this with the Canon G12. Aperture priority mode (AV on the Canon), F5.6, ISO 100. Matrix metering. I set the camera to shoot in a 1:1 aspect ratio (square format) with in-camera B&W mode set.
