Once a private park, now Hunsicker's Grove is a part of the Berks County park system. The pond is an old quary that goes to a depth of 90 feet and is fed by underground cold springs.

From an exploration of the grove with my Wife in early July. This was also the first outing with the Nikkormat FTN, a beast of an all mechanical camera that I thoroughly enjoyed shooting with its deceptively sharp F2 lens.

Technical details:
Nikon Nikkormat FTN 35mm film camera. Nikkor-H 50mm F2 non-AI lens.
Ilford HP5+ 400 ISO B&W film shot at ISO 800.
Developed in Diafine for 4 minutes (part A) and 4 minutes (part B) @ 20 degrees Celsius in Paterson 3 reel tank. 5 seconds initial agitation with swizzle stick followed by 5 seconds of additional agitation every minute thereafter.
Negative scanned with Epson 4990 on holders with ANR glass.

Some of the industrial age ruins of Lockridge Furnace, located on Alburtis, Lehigh County Pennsylvania. The furnace opened in 1868 during the peak of the anthracite iron industry and operated until shortly after World War One. Since 1970, the 59 acre site has operated as a community park while the original blast furnace building # 7 now houses the Lock Ridge Furnace Museum which is open on a limited basis during the Spring through Fall months.

One of the things you often see on the weekend on Coney Island's boardwalk are dance circles driven by a variety of different types of music. I decided to hang out in the Latin dance area for a while and enjoyed watching this group of older folks letting loose and letting themselves get lost in their dance and the music.
