Just a documentary picture of a Shortie sitting on an erosion prevention barrier.

This formerly fallow field in Scappoose, Oregon is being bulldozed as a planned business park is moving closer and closer to becoming a reality.

Sadly, as the business parks invade NW Oregon, formerly Owl-friendly fields are being paved over.

So Sad!

If you can't figure out what's going on with this Owl...it is sitting on the stake, facing me, and it has twisted its head so that it is looking upwards at another bird passing overhead...one of those pics that you don't know that you got until you examine the pic on the big screen of the computer...silly bird!
