DH59 cruises away from Fielder, returning to Lakeside as the 17:10 train from Gembrook.

From the 26th of December 2016 through to the 8th of January 2017, diesel locomotives hauled the Lakeside to Gembrook section trains due to expected hot weather. Typically the diesels only operate trains on 'Total Fire Ban days' or to assist heavy trains to Menzies Creek, however for 2 weeks of the year they are rostered to operate these services.
