It has been a labour of love that has been well over 2 years in the writing and another year trying to figure out what to do with it. So, if you ever wondered whether I can string a full sentence together now's your chance to find out!

We headed down toward Clapham North tube using the back streets and were then hoping to get the A3 all the way out past the M25 towards Guildford. We were making reasonable time and the quiet streets had small groups of zombies here and there casting about hungrily for someone to breakfast upon. We were speeding past these little gangs of zombies and busily chatting about which celebrities we’d like to have made it and which we were hoping to run into as zombies when we heard an engine in the distance. We were just on the road on the north side of Clapham Common and hadn’t heard an engine for days so pull over and whip out our binoculars to see if we can work out what’s coming.
From behind us down Clapham High Street comes a big council rubbish truck proceeding at a very stately pace with a stereo booming some dancehall reggae attached to the roof. Even from this distance we can see the huge crowd of zombies following along behind the truck and trying pathetically to gain access. With my binoculars I can see the driver hunched behind the steering wheel. Even at this distance he looks huge and slightly deranged. Then he spots us and very conspicuously gives us a friendly wave, blows us a kiss and then signals for us to get moving. The cat hisses her consent.

This morning you woke up feeling a little unwell. You have no appetite, your head is aching, your throat is sore and you think you might have a slight fever. You don’t know it yet, but the virus has already been working away inside you for a week or so and has been busy attacking your immune system.
