I traveled to the small village of San Antonio la Isla south of Toluca in search of the man who makes wonderful combs out of cow horns. After asking around town, I was directed to the home of Sr. Prudencio Manjarrez. Sr. Manjarrez graciously invited me out of the pouring rain into his workshop where he showed me how he makes the combs. In this photo, Sr. Manjarrez holds the template that he used to cut the horn comb in his left hand.
