As I caught a glimpse of the setting sun from the window at home yesterday, I walked along the boardwalk snapping photos with the Nikon D300 DSLR. I did not change any settings and just clicked away, catching the sky split in blue and red in one shot, with blue sky to the South over the Great South Bay and Fire Island while the red hot ball of plasma, the shining, burning, sun seems caught atop, next to and between the masts of sailboats behind the house.
