I’ve loved flying since my first flight as an unaccompanied child of 7 in Pakistan nearly half a century ago! Having sat in window seats all this time I’ve always enjoyed seeing the structures and contrasts of airports around the world. This view of Tampa International Airport at this particular angle also shows an interesting similarity to the shape of a Stealth Bomber! I felt that Black & White did more justice to the shapes than mushy colors one sees out a dirty Southwest Airlines aircraft window as I left Tampa for my first and always U.S.A. hometown, New York City, for a rocking New Year’s Eve. Here’s to flying high, far and fast in the Happy New Year!

This is a screen capture of a very low resolution video I shot with a 10 years old camera while flying over Manhattan very recently. It was cloudy, it was dusk, and it was a gloomy day overall. The plane window was not that clear either and this was just a video clip I accidentally recorded for 1 second while trying to take a still photo. But, this shot was worth extracting and sharing. The simple truth is clear as Black and White, even at the gloomiest of times. Justice and (Statute Of) Liberty are for all humankind.

Paris Etoille Night Scene With No eToll To Pay - IMRAN™
Paris is among my favorite cities in the world. It is a difficult choice to list one's favorite cities. I have seen many but nowhere near the number of great places yet to be visited. But Berlin, Germany, and Paris, France, were the first two major cities I got to spend the most time in my first ever trip abroad from Pakistan. In fact, as I often joke, I am a Gemini and want two of everything. So, in a way I actually had two 25th birthdays, by traveling from Berlin to Paris, which was a bit complicated back then. Berlin was still divided, and going from West Berlin, where I was, to Paris, where I went, was not as easy as simply taking an EUrail train. You had to fly out of West Berlin, surrounded on all sides by East Germany and the evil partners of Donald Trump's real boss, Vladimir Putin, who was based there as a KGB agent, killing people seeking democracy. What a fall from grace for the American Presidency that the man in the White House currently kisses this murderer's arse - and does his bidding, at the expense not just of American values but even our global national interests. I have been privileged to return to Paris a few times since my first trip. I was out for a walk late one night during my great stay at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoille, and took this photo with the Nikon D300 which I had brought along.
