Preserved 18 RTC 822, a Leyland Titan PD2/12 built 1953 with a Leyland H31/25R body on Park Street at Lytham in Lytham St. Annes with the 11:40 Lytham Hall to St Annes (St Annes Square) via Lytham Green 193 service during the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust Limited’s Lytham Hall Vintage Bus Day. Sunday 17th July 2022
Note, RTC 822 was originally operated by Rawtenstall Corporation as number 18. The operations of Haslingden Corporation and Rawtenstall Corporation were combined to form the Rossendale Joint Transport Committee on 1st April 1968. Haslingden and Rawtenstall became part of the Borough of Rossendale on 1st April 1974 due to local government reorganisation, the Rossendale Joint Transport Committee becoming Rossendale Borough Transport. RTC 822 was withdrawn from service in October 1974 and acquired by Bingorama (a Bellshill based operator) for non PSV use in connection with bingo hall in 1974. It was acquired for preservation by Gerald Walker in April 1976 and was acquired for continued preservation by Rossendale Borough Transport in November 1982 but was also used as a driver training vehicle from 1986. It was acquired by Brian Crowther (a Morley based operator operating as Black Prince) in 1992 and has passed through several owners since
RTC 822 was painted in Scout Motor Services Limited livery and would return in the opposite direction later working the 12:10 St Annes (St Annes Square) to Lytham Hall via Fairhaven Lake and Lytham Green 193 service
