#107/365 Post Process Fridays episode #12. This week features an epic photo from PapekPhotography. I mean how epic can you get...beautiful old barn in the middle of the green field with uber clouds at sunset. For this one I really pushed up the colors, since I was going for a fantasy'esque story feel. I think I was a little influenced by PapekPhotography PP'd version he posted couple weeks back because they are very similar. Let's see who will be the first to get the title reference.

Set in the time in Chinas history when the Wu Tang and Shaolin battled for supremacy. This epic tale follows the plight of a young girl who is orphaned as a child when her parents meet their deaths at the hands of the clan leaders.
#226/365 Post Process Fridays episode #29. This photo is from Lexmachine who I met way back on the nikon forums way back when I first got started last year. Although the transformation does not look that dramatic this photo proved to be quite a challenge. As I started to saturate and brighten this image I noticed that the girl's outfit blended in with the surroundings. So I pulled out some of the blues from her outfit making it more yellowish. From there I lightened the subject then desurated the guy's out fit as it was looking a bit purplish. I also overlayed some colors over the background so it was not all an even green color. Then Sharpened, rinsed and repeated (ok not the last 2). Everybody was Kung Fu fighting....moving as fast as lighting! Now you have that song stuck in your head all day....YOU'RE WELCOME!

#268/365 Post Process Fridays episode #34. This week amazing photo is from Michael Hunter. I'll be the fist to admit that this shot is pretty much perfect SOOC. I debated wether or not to post it as the differences are so subtle. I decided I would because I had to share this awesome photo and give credit to my buddy Michael. As I said the differences are subtle. I lighten the 2 buildings up in the front. Doing this also lighten the building in the read. I went a head and burned those back down. The street lights I felt were too orange so I dialed those down (this is a perference, I'm sure some people will like the redish tone better). I also went thru and desaturated some of the blue roofs at little (most noticeably on the upper left). I went ahead and put a motion blur on each of the cars to give the illusion of a longer exposure (and cloned out the one car in the middle). Check out Michael's stream when you get a chance he's got some great stuff.
This looks pretty great large!

#303/365 Post Process Fridays episode #39. This week shot is from fellow designer and photographer mshdesign. When mshdesign posted this a couple days ago I knew I wanted to get my hands on it to give it a go. I love european cities. While I did live in Germany for 10 years I never did get a chance to visit Berlin (back then there was still an East and West). As far as post process I just tried to increase the contrast and play with colors to give a good "model" type look.
You really should see this large!

#198/365 Post Process Fridays episode #25 continues with the Harry Potter theme. This Harry Potter'esque shot was taken by the great Guido Musch. This was a first for me as I needed to stitch 2 shot together....kind of a pain but I think it worked out. If you can check out Guido Musch's stream. Nikon should be paying this guy to promote the d40 because what he does with that camera is amazing.
This is also the end of Harry Potter week...probalby the last themed week I do. It was fun!
