I finally got the 50mm f1.4G to replace the 1.4D. I haven't spent too much time with it. I decided to take a picture of my Boxee box. So far I like it more than the 1.4D because of how it performs wide open in sunlight. It display's a lot less chromatic aberration.
For those of you who are not familiar with the boxee box, it is a media center type device (Google tv, apple tv, roku..ect). Out of all the model's I have tried (and owned), I like the boxee the best. It has the most features and the most video and audio codec support. It also looks really nice. The keypad on the remote is very nice also. The boxee software is free for PC and Mac, so you don't need to buy the box, you can use it on your computer as well. HBW!

Thought it was time to replace the Leica look of my iphone with the updated looks of the cassette tape.
You will also noticed the absence of the D3. I dropped it off at Nikon last week to have it serviced. Unfortunately they said since it was a Japanese model they couldn't work on it and I need to show proof of purchase. I'm going to FAX it over but it's very possible they will just send it back to me (they say japanese models were never intended to be sold here). Kind of a bummer. It works perfectly still, I just wanted to have the sensor cleaned and have it all recalibrated. The 5d mrk2 was just something I was trying out at lunch.

Couple of weeks ago I saw on the interweb that someone made a Leica M9 skin for the iphone. So i thought to myself, "hey I'm ok at the photoshop!". So I went off and made my own. It came yesterday and I applied it and took a quick shot on my floor using the 85mm @ f2.2 + Natural Light.

A quick test shot from a new addition to my prime lens collection. Earlier this week I picked up a 55m F1.2 used for $35. It is a little soft at f1.2 and there seems to be residue from a pastfungus issue (which was disclosed to me). I kind of like the softness...it give som what of a film effect. The dof is very thin. I think I can get some very interesting portraits from this.
The Olympus pictured is a film camera I picked up for more or less as a prop for an upcoming engagment session. I love how retro it looks. It looks tiny in this picture from the thing DoF but it's a pretty decent size. It uses 126 film. If I ever run across any I'll try it out.

Still playing around with the new 50mm 1.4G. This is very minimal and makes for a simple background. No blur was added...just some nice 1.4 action.
