The routine of transport. People come up to the cabin to get warm or sip a coffee. Many of the tables have jigsaw puzzles, slowly assembled by the riders with each crossing, it kills the time. Plaid and wool are popular. _0165096

If out of the north from the Gulf of Alaska, it's cold. If from the southwest, the Olympic mountains take most of the rain, leaving the islands in the shadow. Unless it is an atmospheric river. Then the rain is abundant. Today, it's from the north and a river. Going to be a wet one. _0165050

The island does not change. Or perhaps it changes imperceptibly. 30 years passed in a blink of an eye. It feels as if I was here yesterday. But my bones know the truth.
