Meet Pearl.
Pearl is a captive Great Gray Owl that was rescued in Fairbanks Alaska and brought to the Bird Treatment and Learning Center (Bird TLC) for care. Pearl is injured and can not fly, therefore she can not hunt, thus she is unable to take care of herself in the wild. Bird TLC is a non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates injured birds, releasing them back into the wild whenever possible. The birds that they are unable to release back into the wild, stay in their care and become education birds that Bird TLC takes around the state to educate the public about these beautiful birds.
