I really had to work for this photo. I saw these ducks up river and quietly made my way up through the woods so I could come out near them on the riverbank. Slowly and carefully I made my way, coming out just above them, and slowly crawling along the rocks to get a better position as this duck and his lady stood on some logs in the middle of the river. I found my best vantage point in a difficult place as the water almost spilled over my boots as I got as low as I dared to the water without falling and giving my gear a nice cold bath. I was thrilled with how this one turned out and the work I had to do to get it. It was not easy!
