as you can see, the sun was directly overhead. at 95 degrees plus, it was i all could do to keep the sweat off the viewscreen.

it really is better in "L" :-)
although long exposure would create the classic silky impression of the falls, i think it would diminish the power demonstrated here. that, and the fact that i have no idea how to do long exposure images:-)
