An eight page pre-reader with a few words and a high density of meaning, supported by illustrations, designed to teach phonics (decoding for sound) with rhyming decodable words and one or two sight words. (Some 98% of English text can be decoded for sound but irregular spellings of many common words must be learnt as sight words.)
