The sun sets in tropical haze off Jomtien in Thailand. The disc maintains its width but narrows in the vertical direction, from the bottom edge. The images were taken from a balcony 35 metres above the sea. The extinction in cloud was too great to complete the sequence. The sun was sinking on a near vertical path. The subsequent images have been displaced to the right for clarity.

As the image came out of the camera (with a tidy up for dust and scratches). Cameras now do things that they didn't used to do. The parasitic wasp has a length of 1.4 mm. Macro Mondays asked for something original "in a row" - I take it to mean something different. I believe this is within the rules.
See the comments for an image of the wasp thinking about laying its eggs in bug eggs.
