The mantle is full length and the color is startling, (5 cm resting and 7 cm extended). The colony we have, including juveniles, is under a stand of banana palms.
There appear to be no images of this slug on the web? There has been a recent find in NZ of a very rare albino Powelliphanta hochstetteri. My guess is that we have a colony of albino Leatherleaf slugs.

The mantle is full length and the color is startling. Attracted to freshly discarded corn cobs placed under cover at night during heavy rain. We have lived in this house on a small section for 12 years and not seen one before. There appear to be no images of this slug on the web? What appears to be an albino white Learleaf slug without eyeholes. A large seldom seen white slug that spends its time foraging and eating decaying vegetation that may lack light sensitivity. I hesitate to say "blind" because we have negative connotations around that term.
