NASA's flying telescope spent a few days at Stuttgart, and flew a sortie over Europe at night to study a pair of co-orbiting black holes about 600 million light-years away from Earth.

I never thought I would ever get to see this rare aircraft, but I took the opportunity, flew to Germany and took two overnight trains to make it happen. Many other photographers also flocked to Stuttgart for that morning, to watch SOFIA depart for home from Runway 07.
