Volga Dnepr's five Il-76's are deployed on missions across the world. This one had arrived at Ataturk two hours earlier bringing in a spare engine for another aircraft. Here it is departing under the late afternoon sunlight, much to the delight of the photographers at the Flyinn!

The fantastic sight and sound of a Volga-Dnepr Il-76 under perfect summer evening sunshine. RA-76951 made three trips from China to the UK over the course of a week, with this being the second arrival at Stansted. Routing from Xuzhou via Krasnoyarsk, VDA117 is moments away from completing the journey and landing on Runway 22 just an hour before sunset.

A very rare aircraft to see in the UK. Having waited on the taxiway for ages it finally moved onto Runway 28 while a cloud floated in front of the sun, hence this rearward shot being uploaded. Using the callsign 'Titan' it departed Mildenhall to Andravida in Greece, to refuel five Indian Air Force Mirage 2000I's returning home from the March 2023 Cobra Warrior exercise. Despite being based on such an old aircraft type, this airframe is 20-years old having been delivered in 2003. A great sight and sound to experience.
