After failing abysmaly the day before to get one of the Tridents on route 3A between Hillmorton and Long Lawford (at least in the sun) I thought I would try again today, and also targetted 22376 which was on route 86 to Coventry yesterday. This is actually my second bus returning from Long Lawford, and the sun vanished just moments later. This is Stagecoach 34491 (KV53 NHH) a Dennis Dart on it`s designated 3 route. It is seen passing the cement works along Lawford Road. Unfortunatley, it was just a branded Enviro on the 86 to Rugby, so no shot of that boring vehicle. Typically, 22376 was heading out to Coventry, but I got bowled on that by some pigs. 7th January 2016.

Not quite the shot I wanted, but sadly, I had no time to move. The Banbury Lane junction (next to the lorry on the right) was closed due to a pile up. The lorry is taking away some scum, of the B*W variety, at least there`s one less on the road!!
Sadly the 13:18 off the Drapery was Enviro Trash, but luckily the 13:28 produced an Olympian, this one being 16694 (R694 DNH)
I did think about chasing it for a while, but as I had to park further away than I wanted to, due to the closed road and lots of police about, decided to play that game another day, and headed over to Brackmills. Typically, it seems that the Olympin was chasing me, as it appeaed at Brackmills shortly after I arrived, presumably on a school run?

On it`s final day of service with Stagecoach (??) 16694 (R694 DNH) returns on route 9A, and is photographed at the end of Ellesmere Avenue as it returns to Northampton Town Cenre on the 23rd of January 2016. I thought Kevin would like this one with the post box!?

Having got a trident on Route 9, the next part of my plan was getting the 96 to Northampton, in the hope of getting MAN 22375/6 on it, which has often been the case when I am not in a position to take a photograph! Sadly on this occasion it was a Dennis Dart (Although I`d rather than then the usual boring Enviro`s)
This one is Stagecoach 34499 (KV53 VNL) and is photographed heading along Crick Road towards Dirft at Crick,
The next part of my plan was to go towards Newton to get another trident on Route 9, but my plan was halted when I saw one on a 3, and a quick turnaround would have bagged me a shot of this. However, I got totally done by traffic, and particularly a car pulling into where I needed to park quick, grab camera, get out, and dash along the road a few yards. I had to frustratingly watch the bus appear, and turn into the main road, and all I could now do was follow it instead, and what came the other way? A Catteralls Olympian. Had I been out of my car for the trident, I would have seen this coming, and would have got a nice sunny shot of it free from shadows. One day, Bertie, one day.........
