This is one of my favorite trees in Oregon to photograph. I've had this composition chosen and shot it on several occasions because I'm still looking for that elusive perfect sunset for Cline Falls. This one was the closest I've found but the color wasn't great so this turned into a perfect candidate for black and white. It was too cheery with color I guess. I love how this guy looks like he's in pain. All twisted and broken and ready to jump into the river below.

Took my little Oscar to the vet this week to look at a little bump on his back and unfortunately he has cancer. I love this little guy so much. We've been together 15 years now and I don't want to loose him. He's scheduled for surgery next Thursday. I'll break the bank to keep him for a while longer if I can.

This is my best shot from my explorations of the Oregon slot canyon aptly named "Crack in the Ground". I went there a few weeks ago on a very hot summer day. Inside the "crack" it felt like a nicely air-conditioned grocery store. Lots of strange rock formations to stare at in this remote little Oregon high desert wonder.
