Last time I went to the Kuangsi waterfalls, is was during the monsoon. There was so much water that the waterfalls was buried under water, in a powerful brown shade. Impressive landscape I saw at the time. Nevertheless, something even more impressive was hiding under the seasonal rainfalls. In order to discover the true beauty of this place, I had to be patient. So I was, and two and a half year later, I finally came back. It’s one of Earth’s wonder, those ones when you see it, will be engraved in your memory like glaciers leave their signature on the rock. The water is so pure and transparent, in all directions shades of blue like you never seen before. You have no other choice than be subjugated by it. The Old Ones would have thought they found the fountain of Youth.
The Kuangsi waterfalls are usually full with people. But not in 2021. It would have been almost impossible to shoot this image during a normal time, so I feel kind of lucky, if I may. At one moment, the sun enlighten the scene across the lush vegetation. The tree then appears like glowing, surrounded by all shades of blue. I hope you enjoyed this image!
