Taken at the Friday night Milford Cruise-in held in Milford, Ohio.
I believe that this rare ornament was only on a few models of Chevrolet around 1952. This one was on a 1952, but I have no way of knowing if it was stock for that car. I only remember seeing one before and the owner gave me the story behind it, but I don't remember it now. If I had gotten a good shot of that one back then, I would have uploaded it and probably remembered what he told me at the time. That's the way it goes too often these days. Perhaps someone will see this shot and be able to explain.
I did a bit more research on the internet and have concluded that it was a dealer option for '51, but will fit other years which is probably what happened here.
