Zimmer Tractor Brookville, Indiana. It's been a ton of years since I worked on a farm in Vermont. Back in the old days, we had a hay rake that was pulled by a horse that I drove. We also used pitchforks rather than machines like hay balers. That was tough work even when I was young. The next Summer, I worked on another more modern dairy farm in Vermont. This farm had tractors and a baler. I don't remember much about the rake we used, but I think it was similar to the horse drawn one, but adapted for a tractor. The farm also had a round barn which was pretty cool. The milking area had a conveyor that ran in a circle around the stalls, collected the day's manure and delivered it outside to the spreader. Unfortunately, when I returned probably some 30 years later, the barn had burned down and the fields had been absorbed by neighboring farmers and I never got any decent pictures of it.
I have no real idea how this thing works, but I'd like to see it in action. I just thought the colors and patterns might make for an interesting somewhat abstract image.
